Cindy Ballard is the property manager for our Homestead Village Community located in Troy, TN. She retired 8 years ago but found herself missing the interaction with people. Since then, she has been managing Homestead Village for 3 years. As a manager she has a sense of pride and wants her community at Homestead Village to feel the same, so she has started a community room in her office. This community room has food, clothes, toys, and some linens for any resident that is in need. When Mrs. Ballard is not working, she enjoys reading, camping on the weekends but most of all she enjoys sitting on her porch in her rocking chair. Sometimes she even picks fresh blackberries from her blackberry bush. Cindy says, “homemade biscuits and fresh jam are always a must.”
Dale Ballard, Cindy’s husband, is the community maintenance manager at Homestead Village. He is one of 12 children in his family. He learned to work at a young age and says that is something that he has always known to do. Working throughout the community he says can be challenging at times but when he receives a heartfelt “thank you” at the end of the day it makes it all worth it. Mr. Ballard also says that each day is different, and Homestead is becoming a tight knit community. Outside of working to make Homestead Village community a great place for their residents he enjoys fishing. He just recently purchased a fishing boat and is looking forward to catching some catfish.
Both Cindy and Dale make a great team in managing Homestead Village Mobile Home community and we appreciate their hard work and dedication.
